Lost Property

Lost Property

We recognise that losing personal belongings, including uniform, can be upsetting and frustrating, and may also result in unnecessary replacement costs. We are therefore keen to reunite students with any lost items. Where items have been clearly named, we will do our best to return them to their owners.

To help reduce the amount of property misplaced at school, we kindly ask that all items belonging to students - including uniform, coats, shoes, pencil cases, water bottles, lunch boxes, and PE kit - are clearly labelled with the student’s full name, not just initials.

If Your Child Loses an Item:

Please encourage students to check the following locations:

  • Classrooms
In many cases, students have left items in one of their classrooms. We encourage students to check any classrooms where they have had lessons.
  • Lost Property Cupboard (Reception Area)
Students should check this cupboard regularly, as it can sometimes take a day or two for items to be handed in.

  • School Office (Administration Block)
Small, valuable items found are kept in the school office and are not placed in the lost property cupboard.

  • PE Changing Rooms
Lost PE kit items may remain in the changing rooms. There is a lost property box in both the girls’ and boys’ changing rooms where left items are placed.

Storage of Unclaimed Items

Unfortunately, not all lost items are claimed. Due to limited storage space, the school is unable to keep lost property for longer than one term. Unclaimed items may be disposed of, recycled or donated after this time.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us return lost items to their owners as quickly as possible.
