Funded by Health Education England, the London Med Schools Summer Programme brings together four of London’s medical schools (King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, St George’s University of London, and University College London) to give 75 Year 12 students from across England an opportunity to find out what it is like to study medicine in London. The UK University & Apprenticeship Search Virtual Fair is returning on Wednesday 30 March with a wide range of exhibitors from around the UK. Students can get answers to all of their questions and participate in 10 live webinars on the day. This is a fantastic opportunity for students in years 12 and 11 to find out more about the options available to them and get answers to any questions they have. The event will also help any undecided year 13s looking to apply in UCAS Extra or Clearing, along with helping students narrow down their firm and insurance options.

As part of National Careers Week, Unifrog  are running a unique event to give students the opportunity to compare all the different post-school pathways side by side.

Holocaust Education Trust, Lessons from Auschwitz. 

The Holocaust Education Trust’s aim is to educate young ple from every background about the Holocaust and the important lessons to be learned for today.  This educational and commemorative project offers post-16 students the opportunity to learn about the Holocaust and consider its relevance for today. Through the bespoke interactive online platform, participants join others from across the country as they embark on an educational journey in which they: 

  • Learn about the history of the Holocaust and the role of camps such as Auschwitz-Birkenau 
  • Consider the individuals whose lives were affected by the Holocaust 
  • Reflect on the relevance of the Holocaust today and share their learning with others

- Are willing to undertake an onsite research project over 2-3 weeks during the summer?

- Have a combined family income of less than £30,000 per year?

- Would be first in their immediate family to participate in Higher Education?

- Have lived in authority care or received discretionary payments at school or college?

Applicants must be in Y12; have always attended state school.
