Ofsted Report

The Willink School and Sixth Form was inspected under the updated Ofsted framework in May 2026.

At The Willink School and Sixth Form, our vision is that “students flourish and achieve their full academic and personal potential. They are confident, respectful and resilient global citizens with the knowledge and skills to be successful in 21st Century.”  We are thrilled that this is exactly His Majesty’s Inspectorate found. The school met the Expected Standard in every single area assessed, and our safeguarding standards were confirmed as met. The report celebrates The Willink as an ambitious and inclusive learning environment – and one which continues to build on a legacy of solid foundations.

A link to the full report can be found below. We encourage it to be read in full, as it contains a lot of additional positive commentary about our school. The Willink remains dedicated to fulfilling our vision, mission and values for all those within our community.

The summary Ofsted judgements are outlined below:

  • Achievement: Expected Standard
  • Attendance and Behaviour: Expected Standard
  • Curriculum and Teaching: Expected Standard
  • Inclusion: Expected Standard
  • Leadership and Governance: Expected Standard
  • Personal Development and Wellbeing: Expected Standard
  • Post-16 Provision: Expected Standard

“Expected standard means that the school is doing everything that it should be doing, so you’ll see the green colour coding on the report card. It’s a high standard to make sure your children are receiving everything they need and deserve”.  - Ofsted, 2025

Pupils at The Willink School enjoy coming to school.... Warm relationships with staff start at the school gate, where pupils are welcomed by staff who know them well.

Pupils learn a broad and ambitious curriculum that prepares them well for life in modern Britain.

School leaders have created a safe environment built on positive relationships and clear expectations.

Leaders listen to parents and carers. They take their views into account when making key decisions.

Leaders always act in the interests of children.

The school works closely with parents and other agencies to provide tailored support. As a result, pupils, especially those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and service children, achieve particularly well.
