The Willink is a high performing (P8 in 2019 was +0.4) and oversubscribed school, listed in the top ten non-selective schools in Berkshire in 2019. The school is a DfE designated Maths Hub. The school has 1130 students on roll including 180 in the Sixth Form, and is situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting south west of Reading. The school’s Ofsted judgment in June 2018 was exceptionally strong.

Teacher of Religious Education

We require a committed colleague with a real passion for the provision of quality and imaginative teaching to join an experienced, supportive and high achieving Humanities team. We are looking to appoint a specialist Teacher of RE with the ability to teach the subject to GCSE. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the teaching of PSHEE, so an interest in personal development education is desirable.

Teacher of Mathematics

MPR/UPR, full-time or part-time, for September 2020

We require a committed colleague with a real passion for the provision of quality and imaginative teaching to join an experienced, supportive and high achieving Mathematics Department (90% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in their Mathematics GCSEs in 2018 and 2019). We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics with the opportunity to teach A level.

As a Teaching School the Willink welcomes applications from trainee teachers as we can offer excellent support and professional development. The Willink has also recently been designated as a DfE Maths Hub, serving western Berkshire, Swindon and Wiltshire. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to and benefit from the working of the Hub.

Initial Teacher Training Coordinator

MPR/UPR, Management Allowance 2, for September 2020

We require a committed colleague with a real passion for the provision of quality teaching to join our Teaching Development Team. This role includes leadership of the school’s Schools Direct and PGCE programmes. Due to the expectations and time demands of the role colleagues considering this role need to have a contract of 0.8FTE minimum and not hold an additional permanent Management Allowance.

We require a committed colleague with a real passion for the provision of quality teaching to join our Teaching Development Team. This role includes leadership of the school’s NQT and new staff induction programmes. Colleagues considering this role need to have a contract of 0.8 FTE minimum. They may hold an existing Management Allowance.
